Mood Disorders or Affective Disorders are noted in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to be broken down into over 15 different possible diagnoses. Bipolar Disorder and Depression are included in this area.
Anxiety Disorders include over 10 diagnoses. Included in this area are panic attacks, social phobia, obsessive compulsive tendencies, post-traumatic stress (which isn’t just about war veterans it can be various stresses including the fear of being abused again), and pervasive worries that deter you from living the life that you want.
Adjustment Disorders can occur when you find that your partner wants to discontinue a relationship, when you find that you need to leave a relationship, when you are grieving, when you lose your home or your job, when, as a child, you learn your parents are going to separate. There can be real signs of depression, and anxiety that can make daily life very difficult.
Childhood Disorders are noted to have over 35 variations. I consider myself to be specialized in the following: Pervasive Development Disorder, Learning Disorder, ADHD, ADD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder and Seperation Anxiety Disorder.
